What are Large File Games, and where can I find them?

July 24th, 2012

A large file game is a game that takes up most of a CD or may consist of multiple CDs. The benefits to a Large File game is that the game consists of more and bigger files. This usually equates to a higher quality game, better graphics, more choices, and more playing time. Large file games are a type of casual game, they are usually games that can be worked on, saved, then returned to. The user is expected to explore many areas, and complete many activities, unlike arcade games where the entire game may be on only one screen. These games are typically large adventure games that have many challenging puzzles and game situations. There are several large file game series such as Nancy Drew, Chronocles of Mystery, and Mystery Case files. You can find these large file games on Amazon, or on the shelves of major retailers such as Walmart, Shopko, and Target. If you want those games immediately and at a discount, however, I would suggest you download them from Big Fish Games.
Below are a few of my favorite Large File Games.
